Here are some photos from my Turkey and Monkey's last gymnastics meet. Tomorrow they have another one in Buffalo! I'm going to try and post the video soon.
We had a fabulous time on our trip! We headed to Ohio for a family friend of Chris's wedding and decided to go early and stay a little after and make it a short vacation. Cincinnati is a BeAuTiFuL city! I think I took about 15 pictures of this first bridge below. It's so cool! Nick and Jessica showed us around Cincinnati one of the days we were there. Jessica is the sister of the groom and friend of Chris from back when he lived in Cincinnati in junior high and part of high school. Her boyfriend Nick works downtown and knew all the great spots to go! I love the skyline of the city. We were actually over in Kentucky eating lunch which is just across the river. From there you can see all of downtown Cincinnati. GORGEOUS! This is on the roof top of the tallest building downtown. This was a super cool Market. We got there a little late, so some of the vendors were closed. Inside the building was all fresh cut meat, cheese, and salads. Outside was where all the vendors had fresh produce. Check out the man behind the fruit sticking his tongue out at me! The two things I was told Cincinnati was famous for were Greaters Ice Cream and Skyline Chili. Skyline chili is definitely different. It comes over spaghetti noodles or a chili dog. I like the idea of the noodles, but the chili was interesting. Craig, Nancy & Chris just love it and think it's fabulous....I'm not quite convinced yet. I'm glad I got to say I've tried it now though! The last day we were there we took a horse and buggy ride around the city with Craig and Nancy.
Tomorrow is our last day home until vacation! We are off to Cincinnati for some R&R! I can't wait to see the city! I would love to check out the gymnastics club where Amanda Borden used to train! For those of you that new me in high school, I'm sorry I made you watch her floor routine every time you came over! It was worth seeing though, right?!
Friday the girls had their 2nd gymnastics meet of the season. They did so AMAZING!!!!!!! Taylor got the highest vault score of the whole meet, a 9.7! At level 4 they don't post the scores, they only give them to the coaches, but if your Dad is the coach then you get to know your score ;) I was so exited for her! Kylah was by far the tiniest little thing out there and she did GREAT! SO CUTE! I have lots of pictures and video that I hope to post soon! Life is so crazy busy!!!
For T's bday all the kids dressed up as animals and we went down to the Como zoo! The weather couldn't have been more beautiful! The amazingly talented Miss Sarah Erickson made Taylor and Kylah's costumes! They were a huge hit! We even had someone come up to us and ask if they were performing in a play at the zoo! How funny is that?!
On our way in the car...everyone's so excited!!! Kylah was starring out the window panting at all the cars driving by. People were laughing and waving at her! It was great fun! Watching the monkeys...I think we spent the most time at the monkey area! Giving their best animal faces! We finished off the afternoon taking a few pictures on the bench then doing cake and presents!
A great great friend of ours has a recording studio and made this special song for me. The girls got to go giggle and sing...which is what they love to do! It was really cool! I hope you enjoy the song as much as I do!
The girls and I came to Fargo last weekend to celebrate T's bday with family and friends. Sarah and the girls and I went downtown to take some fun pics together. Here's a few!
Soon...very soon. I have been so busy lately with work that I have not had any time for the personal stuff. I have some cute pics from T's bday party and the girls first gymnastics meet.
Look for Kylah's huge one red eye! It's because we still dilate it everyday. When I get time I'll fix it, but I wanted to get these pictures up! These were taken with my little camera so that might have something to do with it!
Kylah learned to water ski this past weekend! She got up on her first try, it was pretty cool! Taylor learned last summer! The video of Taylor is from the next day when it was super windy out, so sorry about the shaky camera. It also takes a minute for the videos to pop up.
I had a FABULOUS birthday! We started the weekend off by going to Minneapolis on Thursday. We stayed with our friends Jen and Bill in their amazing condo and sat by their pool that over looked the skyline of the city. It was beautiful and so relaxing! Friday night we went on a boat cruise in Stillwater with dear friends who came to celebrate with me. After that, some of us went to a local bar that was featured on the food network. Those that know me well know I'm obsessed with the food network! It was a a tiki bar that had a really interesting menu! Saturday we hung out by the pool again then went to Benihana's for dinner with Craig and Nancy! It was such a fantastic meal. Chris and I went early and had a glass of wine and sushi. We tried the salmon rolls and the raw tuna. The tuna was so good! I can't wait to go back again!
I'm super excited about this, so I have to share it! I was hired by a company in St Cloud to make their logo. The company is called Barclay Purchasing. They do purchasing for different hotel companies. The logo needed to be very corporate looking but still fun and edgy! Here is the final product!
