Really Yummy

I made this the other night and it was really yummy! I didn't want to type if out so I just took a pic of the page :) We made it with Mahi Mahi not cod and if you make it I would recommend only using 1/3 cup lime juice. 2/3 cup was a little to much lime for us.

Hello from Mexico!

Hi all! We are having so much fun here in Mexico. The wedding was last night and it went great! The ceremony was beautiful and we got all the pictures done about 30 seconds before it started to rain. Phew! I met another bride and groom on Thursday night who needed a wedding photographer so I got hired to do one more wedding while we're here which is tonight! I can't wait! This is so exciting to be a part of someone's special day in a tropical place! The beach is gorgeous and the fish come right up and nibble on your toes. That kinda freaked me out the first time! I'd rather eat the fish then have them to try to eat my toe nail polish! I had some yummy yummy fish last night and it's sushi tonight! Yum Yum Yum!!!!!

My beautiful amazing friend asked me to take a few pictures of her in the baby's room before the new little one arrives. This one is my favorite!

strep throat

Well T has strep throat. I'm glad she got some medicine and is on the mend now. I took her in right away this morning so I was still able to make it to the last Mom's group of the year. It was a great meeting. They announced that the main organizer is moving away so she won't be here next year. It was pretty emotional for some of the Mom's that knew her well. I'm still looking forward to Mom's in the fall. It's a wonderful place to be to get to know other christian Mom's in the area.

update

I just got home from this months TCPPA meeting. I took home a lot of great marketing tips! When I was leaving the cities T called saying she wasn't feeling well :( She woke up this morning with a sore neck, so we just assumed she slept on it wrong. She now has a fever and swollen glands. I kinda freak out about them being sick! I give them every vitamin known to man each morning to try and prevent them from ever having to feel bad. Call me crazy, but it makes me feel better since Miss T isn't much of veggie eater. For the most part the girls have been really healthy this winter. A few colds and stuff but no doctors visits! Hopefully it's nothing and she will wake up as her happy self in the morning.

T's spring recital

T had her spring concert at school last Thursday night. This year was pretty special because Taylor and a couple other kids got to take turns singing a verse of the song into the microphone . She talked about that for weeks. Then the group of kids that sang solo's did a little dance up in the front also. I was so proud of her!




You see how happy Miss Taylor got in this photo? Well...the little boy she always talks about had a drum solo (photo below) during this song. She is looking over at her Dad because she knows that her Dad knows exactly what she's thinking! T and the little girl next to her were cracking me up the whole time he was playing his drums. They look like little teenagers at a concert! I'm frightened for the actual teenage years! If I could stop them right now from getting older I would! I love the ages they are at, and I'm sad they are getting so big. As Taylor does get older though our relationship continues to grow and we are able to talk on such a deeper level. I do love that!

my baby girl is growing up :(

My little Miss Kylah is going to be 7 on Friday! I think her turning 7 is harder for me then when I turned 30! It's so sad that my baby is growing up so fast! We're having Kylah's party at North Crest on Friday. She had her party there last year but insisted it be there again. Then she's having a couple friends spend the night. We will do her family party on Easter when everyone is in town. She is very excited!



We have had a great last couple of weeks staying at home and getting house stuff done and spending time with our friends. Grandma Nancy came over on Saturday night and dyed Easter eggs with the girls! They loved it! I have to ask which one I get to eat every morning! I don't want to eat the wrong one! I love hard boiled eggs and Daisy gets the yolks! She can hear me crack the egg on the counter from anywhere in the house. Surly is catching on to the tasty goodness of the yolk. I'm glad someone likes it!

Surly 8 weeks

Isn't he the cutest puppy?!?! He's 8 weeks now and weighs more then Daisy! He's 9 lbs and daisy is only 8lbs. He was 3.5 lbs when we got him so he gained that much in 2 weeks! WOW! We call him fat boy and pork chop because he is OBSESSED with food! haha!

lil' Surly!

Here he is! We went to visit him at 4 weeks old! I'm a little late on posting this. He's so cute! He's is definitely still the runt! He is half the size of his other siblings. One of the puppies was so fat that he waddled when he walked! I wanted to take him also. He was just funny to watch :) I'm posting a couple links on the Surly brewing company in Brooklyn Center that was featured in the news. Check out the one on their Darkness beer. They brought a keg of that to the White Horse a couple weeks ago and we were able to sample it and it was yummy. I don't like beer but this was good! It was like drinking coffee and port. It was sweet but dark, thick and creamy. You can't buy the Darkness so it was fun to try it. So as we were sampling this we decided Surly would be a great name AND Sur Lie is a wine term! 'Sur lie' wines are bottled directly from the lees without racking (a process for filtering the wine), giving an added freshness and creaminess to the wine. So the name is perfect! It fits both Chris and I!
